Energy Tanks - Overview
Sustainable energy storage
Power Tanks are a revolutionary new technology which allows energy from solar panels, heat pumps or other sustainable systems to be stored for use when hot water and heating demands are at their maximum. They can also be used effectively with gas and oil fired boilers to achieve savings of up to 40% on the use of conventional fossil fuels.
The tanks comprise a solid wax core, integrated with heating pipes, that uses the solid/liquid phase law of latent heat to store energy without raising the temperature above a predetermined level.
Each Power Tank can store up to 10kWh of thermal energy and be grouped together with others to form an ‘energy battery’ to meet the customer’s requirements, whether domestic or commercial.
